the point here is that even if you wanted to adapt them you'd cost your way out of the calipers immediately. the cts-v calipers are CHEAPER, BRAND NEW.
get your **** together, dude.

^This...and to add to what Bio said, why invest more money into R&D if it has already been done ya know, we know what fits and it works extremely well
Hey Drunkie, Do you think the stock SS wheels could be machined down on the inside at the contact point?
Need to do the brakes asap but just bought new tires and Bilsteins, cant swing new wheels now. any ideas. or can I use the spacers with the stock wheels.
Thanks Bryan

Have several questions give me a call if you have a minute or I will try an ping you from work if ok thanks this is flippin fantastic and looks amazing, Also if I have to I do like you wheels what brand make model if it comes down to that and were did you get them?
Thanks again great work, after this I will be trying to go after putting the rears on this summer if possible.
I would never machine wheels on a spoke area to fit some calipers, just a recipe for disaster. The best route here is to use spacers if you want to keep your Stock wheels. These calipers fit under the stock GXP wheels just fine, I don't know the specs of the Impala wheels but I can't imagine them being to different.
My first wheels in the how-to are 18x8.5 Tenzo Tracer 32mm offset, they are no longer made.
I appreciate the enthusiasm for wanting to do all of this, I don't normally do personal calls outside of the forum, but what I do suggest is keeping your questions public so others can read and learn from there is to offer. I'm not on here as much as I use to be, so others maybe able to respond quicker than I can as well.
Do the Rotor heat/dust shields from a CTS-V fit a Grand Prix? (97-03) the bolt pattern looks the same.
Also, the rotor part number comes up as a 2010 Mustang GT-500 on the Centric web site, just want to make sure.
Has anyone experimented with any other rotors?
Thanks
Gtp419...Yes thats the rotor you need to use its the only one that will work besides the cts-v rotor(which will require machining)
And 98gpvet these will prob be the only calipers that are going to be direct bolt on. Drunkie did alot of research when he first tackled this project a while back and found that the CTS-V or Camaro SS will be the best calipers to use. If you would like to spend the time and money in researching what other calipers will work, be our guest and post some information that could be used in future projects. But as of right now these 2 are your only options.

What are the odds that there are brembos being sold in the forum classifieds? On the same topic, what are the odds that they are not used? If you're into running used calipers on a brand new set up then I guess that's your prerogative. Not my cup of tea though.
The R & D has already been done. My calipers were ~$250 Brand new for the set.
To clarify I can get away with a 40mm offset rim if I run a 5-8mm spacer correct?

No it mainly depends on how the spokes are designed... you could have a +30mm offset and the spokes could still not clear.. ask me how i know lol
Post up the rims you are asking about

Ok guys i recently purchased a set of cts v calipers got a deal on all 4 so i took the rears. I have read all 21 pages here and from what i know only one person has done the rears. Which happens to be Lecram25. But he is gone and have no other info on how to mock up the rears. Anyone have any info on these i would greatly appreciated will be going on my SLP GTX. once i get the info i don't mind doing a post on here of what all was needed with pics to help others out, i just cant seem to find anymore info on this. Thanks in advance.
What i picked up.
