I saw in the sticky thread about wanting to lower your car that I can use prior gen springs on my '06 Grand Prix. Is it possible to also use the prior gen KYB AGX struts as seen here..

According to ZZP, only the rear's work. It seemed like when i was shopping around last year the 04+ doesn't have strut options, it's either stock or coilovers.

Didn't get that far myself. I had springs, was gonna wait a couple months to try to find some Comp G shocks, but never even got them installed.

You most certainly can use the AGX's with an 04+ car. You have to swap front control arms with a 97-03 car and swap the front sway bar to one from a car from those years.

That's right! I knew I had heard something a year ago, couldn't remember what it was and I wasn't about to throw wrong info out there.

    Hm well that's interesting.

Are these the coilovers you were referring too that would fit?

Nope, no hub issues. The front LCA's are identical with the exception of there being a mount welded on for a control arm based sway bar link.

On certain years after 04, you are able to use the any strut and spring combo that a 97-03 uses. I want to say that 06+ or 07+ that are able to use any 97-03 strut/spring with no modifications. I would recommend you search just to be sure. You could also get the GXP struts and use some SSC lowering springs with them.

I'm just going to run the SSC lowering springs on my stock struts and when those go bad it'll only be $250 to buy another set of '06 stock dampers. Problem solved.

Well I did a little research and found out that the 06+ have the same LCA set up as the 97-03's. Therefore the AGX's will bolt right in with no issues. There is no need to replace the LCA's or the sways to use the AGX's. If you ever go that route, now you know. The only other ting I recommend, is that you get is a set of anti pogo washers.

    Yes they are.
