I can understand your thoughts on a used bearing. But I can replace a used bearing 4 times for the price of a new one. And since Ed has a 6 month guarantee on all his parts, if it fails within that 6 months, I won't have to pay for another one.

And the stock ones last, how long? 6-7 years and 100,000 miles? Even if they last half of that, the stock ones still hold up longer than my NAPA unit that lasted 1.5 years and 35,000 miles.

I will gamble with a used unit anyday from now on.

went through 3 gm hubs in the first 120k on my regal GS. first was at about 50K, same one went again at 60 ish, (first under extended warranty, second under GM warranty...under 1 year) that replacement went somewhere about 110-120k. Replaced with Timken bearing, it's been on since the last gm one was swapped, and car has 179K now.

Yes, I am sure some people have problems with certain parts on their cars. But for the most part, this is not a common occurance with wheel bearings. Most people do not have this much trouble with stock hubs as they last 80-100k miles.
