I recently put on a reman. A1-Cardone pump. However after a couple days of driving, it is still quite stiff. I was wondering what could possibly be my problem.
Turning does not get better with higher RPM and it does seem a little easier to turn when you first crank it up but for the most part it's stiff all the way around all the time. However if it is idling and I try to turn the wheel it bogs the motor quite a bit.

The old pump worked better than this one! What's going on??

I plan to put TransTune in it to see if I can clean out the power steering rack.

    Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

I assume there's no air in it. I had the cap off and went back and forth a thousand times.

Morads is a company that dismantles used GM cars and sells the parts. Like an auto recycler.

Give them a call Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts

That verdict is long accomplished. I ended up getting a Morad used P/S pump and it worked EXCELLENT. But it's on my GT somewheres, I don't haz it anymore.

But Morad is an excellent place to deal with and they are very quick about everything they do, very professional. GO with them.
