Yeah comp G rotors are 11.6". Not sure why those wheels won't fit but maybe because of the spokes.

I read every page (or close enough) of this thread and didn't see anyone once mention the mod for the f-body brackets to fit.
Bear in mind that this was on my 07, other gens/years *may* be different, but the mounting holes in the f-body caliper bracket need to be drilled out with a 12mm (15/32nds will do it) and then tap these holes to M14-2.00 to accept the stock GP bracket bolts. It really isn't difficult because the brackets are aluminum.

Also, in case anyone is considering this mod still (I know there are A LOT of different options out there now), the ZZP kit really isn't that bad for the price. I picked up a used set off a '99 Camaro on CL for $50. The pistons ended up being trash, RTV on the seals (?) and rusted to crap. I ended up using them as cores for a new pair at Advance, saved myself twice what I paid for them right there (core charge is $50/each!). Add in decent pads and both rotors and you're basically at ZZP's price. (I don't work for them or anything, just an FYI based on my experience piecing everything together and modding the brackets myself). You still have to paint them, though, lazy bums.

I'm looking to upgrade my comp G to gxp calipers on the front. I know I need gxp calipers, rotors, and pads. Anything else? Will the gtp lines, bolts, and brackets work with the gxp upgrade? I'm starting to collect parts. I'll probably go with SS lines anyways.

I believe the brackets need to be GXP, but everything else should be the same. If you want to upgrade further, get the R1 concepts rotors and pads off Ebay, they stop like no others.

Ok Ok.... So I recently bough some 2007 Impala brakes and I'm confused as to which rotors I need. Should I be looking for stock GTP size rotors? Impala rotors? Do I upgrade to a bigger size rotor with these new '07 calipers?

I scanned through this post, and there's A LOT to read, but still not sure. Thanks

Finally decided to do the Powerstop 06 Impala calipers&brackets, rotors and pads for my 2004 compg
Since I was doing that I decided it was a good thing to get new Hoses. Aftermarket 2004 OEM AC Delco professionals don't fit.

The hard line off the caliper hits the bleeder. You would have to notch the caliper with a grinder. Nah.
I ordered the 06 Impala hoses, AC Delco professional hoses. They fit perfect of course on the caliper but the fender well bracket end has a bubble flare in the female end, opposite of the GP.
This won't work with the GP hard line off the master without some modding, new fittings and some flares.
    Too much dinkin around.

Well after spending 80+ dollars on useless hoses(out of the box) I should have just went with the stainless Goodridge lines......ordering today. save a penny spend a dollar, damn

Moral is> if you are replacing hoses you will need the Goodridge lines for the 2004+ anyway unless someone knows some other kind of voodoo.

Spazzz, Goodrich is what I did when I went to the F-body calipers. I'm hoping they'll still be ok when I upgrade again.

I always have to have my ducks in a row before I start wrenching.
I would have been one pissed off mutha had I not mocked this sht up.
now I know why guys install them on the wrong side because that way they would fit no problem with a new GP hose.

    edit
I would imagine the 06 Impala hoses would work with the 06 Impala calipers on an 04 with the proper adapter but I haven't been able to figure that one out yet.

ZZP lines would have worked too.

When I had the 06 Impala calipers on my Regal. I had to angle the lines because of that notch on the calipers.

and that's pretty awesome powerstop makes a kit already power coated and everything.
