I looked up the part number (25990164) on a search and several mentioned that they're made in China. I'm not so interested anymore in those. I found these also - see the link provided. Are these just the same GM parts sold by the w-body store?

If so, then I'll pay the extra money for the others I've found that are fabricated in the USA.

I had the similar issue with the bending/kinked ta. Mine actually broke while I was driving causing the tire to get shoved into the wheel well everytime I applied the brakes. I now have tires marks/holes in my wheel well because of this! I just went with the dorman u shaped ones cuz that's all that what was available at that moment. I wanted tubular, but I couldn't leave my car broken until they got shipped. So far so good, its only been a cpl months.

Other than finding a set of used one's, you can pick up a set of tubular one's from UMI or BMR. The wbody store sells some that I bleive are boxed.

You can get umi's on ebay for a good price. You could always check BMR's site and UMI's site. Not sure about the welding.

If you are/know a skilled welder, you could weld a plate along the open portion and it would help some. Instead of going through all the trouble to do that, you can pick up some Dorman replacement arms pretty cheap. They're made of square tubular steel and are stronger than the factory ones.

You'll likely warp them if you're welding on them, unless you're a highly skilled welder. The ones from the w-body store are boxed. I just contacted them about this, but they are not guaranteed to be made in the USA.

I contacted Erik a couple weeks ago and he had some things he was dealing with outside of the business and told me he would be delayed. Thanks for the reminder, though. I sent a follow up today from the email response I had gotten on the 13th.

Bill, do you know how much westcoast charges for their trailing arms? They don't have a price listed on the site.
