Anyone else have issues with the jack points rusting out? I don't know what exactly to call that folded sheet metal strip running the length of the wheelbase, but it's where you place the scissor jack when supporting. Where I place the jack it rusted completely through. The jack tore a hole right through it and it's gone. Useless as a jack point now. That strip is rusted pretty much the whole way on both sides and it crumbling and falling off the car. Not easy to get a tool up there to remove the rust. Sandblasting is probably the only way. It's creeping up into the door jams on the floor. Anyone else have this or have fixed this?

Yeah mine are rusting out pretty bad.

I've thought about brushing them with a wire brush or sanding them down and painting them. Something to just protect it from spreading further.

I would also try using the front and rear jack points over the side ones

Yeah I've been using the front ones for a while now. That's my goal too, just to stop the spread of the rust.

    you need new rocker panels.

your car will no longer pass a safety in ontario either.

Not sure I'd want to ride in a car like that. It is unibody...

Has anyone ever removed and replaced their rocker panels? Is it worth the time doing it? I know they are welded in. I've got a friend who's a certified welder and he has a MIG welder and we both do a lot of work on our cars. I'd like to replace them, just debating whether or no to do it myself.

issue is welding them back on "straight" and keeping the frame straight and true.
