I have a 2001 Grand Prix SE (I know its gay but bestbuy dont pay enough!) and i didn't pass inspection. Whenever I park my car and apply the parking brake, it still rolls after i take my foot off the brake. Is there a thread or video or some instruction on how to tighten my parking brakes?

they are supposed to tighten themselves when you go in reverse. i bet yours are worn way down, have fun replacing them.

They are "suppose" to tighten. Mine did not. I took my wheel off and adjusted the adjustment wheel until the rotor started to tighten. It seems that i have to do that again. It would take alot for those shoes to wear out.

Well I went out last night to try and figure out why my parking brake was not holding the car. After tinkering with it I had my son push down on the EB pedal and the right rear wasn't pushing the two pistons out at the bottom of the shoe. So I pulled the 2 pistons out and there is a pin on one side that was jammed between the arm that runs through the backing plate. So i reset that in the correct postion and its now REALLY holding the car nicely. The pedal now only go's half way to the floor when applied. Check it out.
