Hey Guys i have a problem. About 6 months ago i replaced the passenger front strut bearing. Steering was perfect Before that. After we replaced that, i took it for a ride and now i cant turn the car to the drivers side only, but it is not all the time. If i am driving and i steer to the left it steers easy. But if i lift up the car on either side it doesn't do it, even if i jack it up on the right so the pressure is on the left. if it was the rack, wouldn't it do it all the time since its "bad". I have both outer tie rods brand new. One thing is that on the drivers side the lower control arm bushing on the front is below the control arm. i then replaced both front struts with factory ones off another grand prix in a junkyard. and they when i turn the wheel they move all around where the mounts are under the hood.

I have no leaks or anything. Like i said the steering was perfect before i touched that passenger side. About the only thing we did on that side was put a pry bar in the control arm and pry it down, but we didny pry it hard maybe a cm to get the hub in the strut.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, 3.1 motor.130,000 miles.,
New tie rods, wheel bearings. used power steering pump.

If i am parked, i turn it to the left it binds, i then go a little to the right, go back to the left and it turns easy for a while. Now another thing is that when we put the struts on, my father had to physically turn the body of the strut to get it to go in the hub strait. If this was the rack wouldn't it do it worse when we jack it up on the right so the pressure is an the left. and also we took the tire on the left off and put a concrete block under the ball joint and it still turns easy. WE ARE CONFUSED.
