after 3-4 months of getting my driver side wheel bearing replaced along with teh knuckle i scheduled to get my wheel alignment. just 2 weeks prior though the car started to get a humming sound along with the gas and brake pedal would vibrate a bit(kinda like when a cell phone vibrates) between 35-45mph. anyways when i took the car to get it aligned the mechanic told me the rear LCA rubber bushings were shot and that both inner sections of teh tires were worn pretty bad. the driver side the steel wires was showing a bit so no alignment can be done cause from what the guy told me the rubber bushings would move in/out based on the torque causing uneven balance and the machine wouldnt be able to align correctly
the LCA are the performance LCA from wbodystore but the pivot bushings' the only part made of polyurethane. i swapped the LCA earlier this spring. anyways i got home and swapped the front pair of tires with an older set hoping the vibration/sound would go away but its still there?
i emailed mike taurus from wbodystore to see if they sell the rear bushing with polyurethane, if not then zzp. does anyone know if i can replace the bushing with the LCA still connected to the strut? also worse case i take the whole LCA out the car is the process of swapping the bushings difficult?
sorry for the long story but wanted to cover all the basics of whats going on.
