springs are the same that you'd use. however, for a couple years youd have to swap the strut assembly and lower control arms. doing so would allows you to run AGX's though.

the OEM springs are actually not the same, HOWEVER you can use the springs on either year.

Keep in mind that the 04+ sit a little higher and are heavier, so using a 97-03 springs will give you a larger than advertized drop

I would run B&G personally, will give a bit more even drop on the 04s or it should and it will make it a nice ride height with about 0 wheel gap

So I'm looking at these SSC springs, I was told they were for the 97-03 cars. I'm finding conflicting information on the advertised drop for the springs.

ZZP site says the SSC for the 97-03 Grand Prix 1.2" F/R
The SSC site lists them as 1.8"/ 1.6" F/R


Did ZZP order the ones they have to a different set of sepcifications?

I'm still trying to find out where the springs were purchased from .....

No ALL 97-03 springs will fit our cars, thats why the 97-03 guys can use our struts and vice versa.

Its cause our cars weight more.


The SSC's in reality drop us about 2" all around, the front sits higher then the rear though

Anyone put 04+ springs on the 97-03 GP's? Can't drop my car due to the road conditions and approach angles here in NYC, but am trying to eliminate the squatting rear end on these cars and would also like to get a stiffer and better handling car. Replaced the struts with the AGX's and was very dissapointed, 6 months after the install the adjust ability was gone and back to the OEM shock feeling. Was thinking Bilstein or Koni but are hard to find, anyone have any experience with these?

What about comp g struts with ssc intrigue lowering springs? For a 03?

The Intrigue springs are your best bet, I think the Wbody store sells them or you could contact ED MORAD.

I bought a set of them for my 97 and they worked out really good, even with a
150# speakers in the trunk.

I also have a 97 and it's just a family car but it just sags too much and it bottoms out quite often. What year Intrigue did you buy them for? did they fit right in without modding anything?

there are actually rear Heightening springs. you can get the Olds Intrigue OEM or there are companies that make "audio" springs to keep the back end up

intrigue springs and ssc are not the same. do not confuse them.
