As for taking the speakers out of the trunk, i do agree that the weight savings would be a huge plus, but to tell you the truth, i couldn't really be bothered by it!!!! I'm gonna lap with the bass thumping until my head cracks. I don't usually listen to loud music, but theres something about the whole track focus, and loud music that sounds awesome to me. I can't wait for it.
As for the plate with 8 letters/numbers when i ordered it, I had about 20 variations of the plate, and most were all taken, so i ended up with the longest one. I get called Tony alot!!!!!!
FYI,its not just your times that will improve by weight reduction. its the amount of added abuse your putting on the tranny and suspension and brakes. These items have enough trouble hauling around cars of stock weight, let alone 100 extra pounds of Stero equipment and going WOT from a stop. Plus where your weight is the worst spot for drag racing a FWD. You are lugging around an anchor. Watch your 60' ,1/4mile, laptime and trap improve......which is the point of going to the track.
good luck
