    i always use my e-brake but when i took it off the other day the light stayed on. ive tried a few things, pulling the arm of the e-brake up but to no avail. any ideas?

    i know theres a switch which activates and de-activates the light but does anyone know where it is?

    May sound silly but check to make sure it's all the way up also. My brother took his car to the shop once before having me look at it for the brake light.. Turns out he didn't have the pedal fully up...
    New to me ---- 1999 Grand Prix GTP 216K miles and counting
    SOLD----1997 Grand Prix SE 3.8 -- 1K miles from the 200k club.

    pedals fully up, even tried lifting it with my foot once its dis-engaged

    take the fuse out, if it has one (i think it does) then see if that does it.

    check the fluid level i bet thats it
    and usually thats about the time you need to look at your pads LOL

    looks like the fluid level was the problem, added not even a tablespoon and the light turnd off
