My abs and traction control lights are on, also the power steering is non-existent at low speed. Through my lurking i've found its better to just take it to a shop and scan it rather than throwing money at it. What do you do if the shop doesn't get any trouble codes? Their computer was connecting fine and everything they just didn't see any codes for the abs system. The Abs isn't working, however there are no audible signs of bad hubs or bearings, the pads are good and no play in the wheels. The only thing that I can see is that the people that had it before me broke the bar that goes from the frame to the wheel. The bar has been replaced. Not sure of the name but the abs wire runs down it. I did the best splice job i know how and i am getting voltage at the plug.Other than that i am at a loss. I have read that a corroded ground on a brake light could cause this? The only brake light that is out is the one on the spoiler. (Thank you for reading I know its long).

You need an ABS scanned code or something like a solus pro. See a normal scanner only checks your engine. Search button does wonders man cuz most likely its your wheel bearings. Which will either A. make a growling noise or B. ave free play when its jacked up.

I've used the search for about 2 weeks straight and i can't find anything about it. I've read about hubs and bearings, when i had it up on jacks i checked for play in the wheels, i haven't heard any telltale signs(whine, clunk, grind) from the bearings. The shop used both scanners for the computer and the abs. they came up with the evap small leak code which i fixed but the abs displayed no codes at all. that is why i'm posting here. my main question is what would throw an abs light but no codes?

The shop must be dumb cuz if the abs light is on either the abs light is shorted on (highly unlikely) or there is a problem and the shop needs a new tool.
