So, tonight, I noticed my car is grinding really loud from the passenger side when braking again.

Last time, the solution to this appeared to be replacing the front lower control arm bushing. I don't think I would have managed to blow out the new bushing so quickly. I haven't jacked it up yet to look (1:30AM, just got home).

Brake pads and rotors are good. I did cook them pretty well tonight racing... like, they wouldn't grab for a second launch. Smelled like **** too. But I don't think that would make them grind any.

I'm thinking maybe the hub might be bad? I know the drivers side one hums if I stress it by turning at too high of a speed, or even pulling out of the driveway, but it stops almost immediately.

It only does it sometimes and only on that one wheel. The brakes work very well other than that--they just squeal excessively. Still have plenty of wear left on the pad.

The hubs do hum when they're cold at a certain rotational point on the tire. So it sounds like: hum-rest-hum-rest, and it changes when I go faster or slower. One also hums when I corner too hard or pull out of the driveway.

I checked the bushings this morning and they appear to be fine. Pads and rotors as well.

Looks like I'm going to replace both the front wheel bearings, seeing as they hum anyway. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

Thinking about new rotors & pads all the way around too. Maybe some high performance ceramics that don't cook when I brake from 100mph+...

    Timken bearings all the way...
