I have an 04 comp G with the stock 17" comp G wheels.

My struts and springs are wearing out and past due for replacement. Money is tight right now and I'd rather not pay a shop to do the work.

Can I use Monroe Quick-Struts (or the equivelant from another company) in the comp g? I am fairly handy, and have done some work on the car before. I know I can do quick-struts myself, but I am somewhat intimidated by the idea of doing seperate struts and springs.

    Can you use Monroe...yes

    Would I use Monroe on a Comp-G....no.

Hell, I wouldn't even use a Monroe strut on my winter beater. Try to replace them with something that will come close to the handling you have with the stock setup. If you don't, you will be sorely disappointed.

KYB has a quick strut out now called (strut plus) . I would go that route. I believe tire rack has them and im sure there are a few others out there that carry them also that may be cheaper. I got the monroe quick struts for my 2000 GT they ride nice but a bit soft on the corners. All in all im pretty happy with them considering how the car rode before. To pull them out and reinstall took me around 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the driveway. Good luck..

I saw them on (tire rack.com ) and (rockauto.com) If you plan on purchasing them I would go with rock auto. it's tough to beat there prices. I got a few things from them easy to shop and they have a phone number to call if your not sure about something. When I place an order I usually get them in a few days with regular shipping. I ordered lower control arms for my grand prix yesterday $163.25 for the pair,w/2 day shipping i'll probably see them saturday, cause of the holiday. Good luck in your search.
