Can anyone tell me the difference between ceramic and metallic pads? Are the ceramic worth the money?

From what I have heard is that ceramic will last longer, but they are known to be harder on your rotors. So you may have to replace your rotors before your pads. Metallic will give you the black dust that you see on people's rims. And they won't last as long. But they won't be as hard on your rotors.

ceramic doesn't absorb and hold as much heat so if you've got cheap rotors, they might not be able to handle the extra heat and warp.

Go with the Ceramic if you do not like having your wheels covered in black brake dust.
