    yup. never ride the same again. but im not impressed with these gabriel ultra shocks which according to 2 of the parts stores around here were supposed to be much stiffer than stock. i used the anti-pogo mod and shorter dogbones. but the eibach ride height is exactly what i wanted. not to mention she handles reeal good.

    cop, you are riding on vogtlands, the least drop of all the springs and you cant really tell what a rough ride or know what acceleration vibration really feels like. try some eibachs or intrax and tell us how you feel about lowering. but holy crap, it looks sexy.

    IMHO, shorter dogbones is NOT the way to solve vibration issues in lowered vehicles. The reason why you get vibrations and pre-mature wear on axles with lowered vehicles is when you lower, you change the geometry of the axle, making it sit "straighter" than what it was designed. Using shorter dogbones pulls the engine forward, making the axles bend towards the front of the car, changing the geometry once again. That and you're putting strain on many other components by pulling your engine forward.

    The spacers are the correct fix. It restores the factory geometry of the axles.


    Even though at one point I did have the GMPP setup with vogtlands, I am now running KYB AGX's with SSC springs (2.5" drop) . I would never run Eibachs because of their predisposition to having a rough ride and pogo. I would NEVER run Intrax because I knew a guy running them and they are absolutely horrible springs, personal experience.

    Pick the right tools, for the right job, and have yourself a nice looking, lowered vehicle that you still love to drive. Yeah, it will never be as good as stock, but the looks / handling sure outweigh it.

    SSC are not even close to a 2.5" drop, just to point that out.

    i do, however, agree with you on the dogbones issue. the only problem is that some people that have differing exhaust setups cannot use the spacers because of their downpipe already being close to the exhaust tunnel under the car (i am in this group). therefore, shorter dogbones ARE a good solution and they helped with my lowering vibrations greatly.

    i loved my eibach springs and i loved how they looked. if i had nother play car i would put eibach, B&G, or intrax on it since i probably wouldnt drive it that often.

    This might be a dumb question but if i want to lower my car a lil more then a inch and i have subs in the back that gives the car ass sag, what set up would be logical?
