I have been fighting this for a little while this morning and I figured I would come here for some help.

I have been working on replacing my front passenger side wheel hub. I have the axle nut removed, the brake caliper out of the way, the ABS unhooked, and the three 13mm bolts removed. The wheel hub is loose, but will NOT let go of the drive shaft/hub spindle.

Here is a picture of where I SHOULD be at right now, but the hub will NOT let go of it...

I have a "3 prong" puller that I have been using, and it bites down fine, but then gets to a point where I absolutely can NOT crank it down any more, and that is while using a breaker bar and all of my strength. In fact, it is chewing away at the front of the piece shown in the picture above. I've tried some PB Blaster in there with no luck. Is this just simply where I need to "crank up the heat" with a torch, or to I run the risk of screwing something up?

ANY helpful hints would be GREATLY appreciated as I am at a stand-still until I get this old one off.

    Thanks!

Put the 3 bolts back in.
Put the axle nut back on to protect the threads and get out the sledge hammer.

you can also rent a slide hammer at autozone and also pick up their hub attachment and then go to town on it.

Mine was pretty stuck as well and I had to use a slide hammer with about 20 lbs of dumbell weight on it and then it came off.

I managed to get it finally. After a LONG TIME with the torch and no luck, I put the 3 bolts back in and the nut back on and hit it hard with a 5 pound hammer a couple of times. I put the puller back on and it finally started to move. Still took some effort and I could "hear" the rust trying to grab hold again with the occassional "popping" sound, but it is off. Yeah!
