    Hi Everyone,

I'm a failry new owner to my 04 GTP CompG. I've finally started doing some of the work to it myself, including this weeks hoped brake rotor and Pad replacement.

The problem is the last person to change out the brakes must have used locktite on the Caliper bracket bolts. They will not budge. We tried PB, and I don't have a torch, however thats next. But I was wondering one, if anyone has run into this problem before, and two, has anyone ever broken off one of these bolts? (By Accident) It might be worth taking in in if they break off, so thats why I want clarification on that. Otherwise, loosening ideas would be wonderful.

    Thanks Much,
2004 GTP COMP G. Owned since 2006. Daily Driver.

yea same problem on drvr side top brake caliper bracket bolt was/is stuck
i had changed brkes about a year ago with cmax brakes from az and used the black packet that came with the brakes thinking/told it was brake lubricant but i don't know if this was the cause at any rate had to use a breaker bar to break bolt and even after breaking bolt it was hard as hell each rotation
finally once it was totally unscrewed had to use grip pliers turning it back and forth to ease bolt out of bracket
this time used brake cleaner and steal wire brush to clean bolt which made it better but still brown colored, i will buy new bolt nxt time do this job, .
bolt is still sticky once reinserted.
get new bracket bolts and brake grease use breaker bar to break bolts and u should b straight
