Hello all, I've got a problem thats recently developed in my 2001 Grand Prix that I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas with.

It started last week on a long drive home when I got on the interstate and noticed my front end shaking from side to side once I hit about 40mph and all the way up to 65mph.

It's progressively gotten worse since then. I've noticed that it ONLY happens when I am accelerating. If I let off the gas, it quits completely.

I can't tell that it's any worse or any better when I go into a curve.

    Any ideas?

Bad CV joint in one or both axles. Usually the inner tripod joint does that. Mine would vibrate on acceleration and anytime from 60-70MPH. Replaced both axles and found the tripod joint on the passenger side was all chewed up.

when you hit the brakes does anything change? It shouldn't be warped routers but just something to try.

Check your front lower control arm bushings, they have a habit of wearing out and allowing the lower control arm to move laterally.

Had the same problem and it turned out to be the axle. Just got mine replaced last weekend.
