I am down to a couple of choices on the rotors after viewing other threads here. Rotors are between the Powerslot Slotted, the R1 Premium Series or the R1 E-series. I see a lot of guys here have the E-series, but I like the Premium Series. The Premium Series are about the same price as the Powerslot. I am familiar with the name Powerslot, but I have never heard of R1 before. The R1's are awesome looking and have good reviews here, but their warranty is minimal compared to Powerslot.

As for pads, a lot of guys here are using the Hawk HPS. These aren’t ceramic and I wonder if the Hawk Performance Ceramic ones are actually a better choice since they are ceramic. Don’t know if the HPS’s are noisy or not from reading the other reviews. Hawks’s sight says the ceramics are quiet and don’t lose any off the braking power of their other pads. Don’t know about that.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't care for r1's rotors. Iv'e read alot of guys on different car forums are complaining of rusting in the matter of months. I run powerslot's with wagner pads. Rusting after 6 months of rain, snow and salt? nope. Do they help with stopping power? yes. Do they look nice? I like to think so. They look as good as the day I bought them. The only place they rust is where the pad meets the rotor, but after seconds of driving it goes away.

I have the power slots with hawk pads and love them. Good stopping power. Check out Brakewarehouse.com – Brakes, Brake Pads, Brake Rotors, Calipers, Big Brake Kits, Brake Lines Their prices were the best I found when I first purchased my rotors a couple of years ago

Thanks guys. I was leaning towards the Powerslots and probably will go that way. The R1's just looked so nice, but looks aren't everything as they say.

I finally decided on PowerSlot rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Ordered them last night and hope to put them on next week. After looking at all the info I could find this seemed the best choice. Thanks again 99prixgt, Damajo2003 for your input it helped me make my decision. Thanks for your info TRD, but I just couldn't find anything on your rotors.

good luck. Be sure to follow a good brake in procedure and proper torque of the lug nuts. Then the rotors will last you a long time.
