Can anyone on here honestly say KYB GR2 struts ride awesome on there car? I'm about to buy struts and some say they are good, some say they suck, some say don't get anything Monroe. I need a decent strut n don't wanna pay the money and put them on and they feel like the ones I took off that had 100,000 miles on them. The struts will be going on new mounts and factory springs. Let me know

they ride find unless youre lowered on springs that make them ride hard. anyone that says the struts make their car ride rough is a huge baby.

I hated mine. Worse strut ever on 2 different sets of springs including stock. It pretty sad when my high mileage 3/4 Ton work truck rode better than the damn car! Seriously there horrible I think.

Monroe FTW! I went with the quick struts all the way around, the car rides like it should. Not like a Chicago Freight Train....

they dont ride that harsh. i have them with 50k+ miles on eibach springs and ive rode in cars that ride way worse than mine. it all depends on what youre accustomed to.

LOL, No I just drive my car way more than you do and I want a fairly enjoyable ride. I drove my work truck all over the midwest, why in the hell would I want my car to feel the same? I want something halfway enjoyable on my car

I'm not the only one who hates GR2s, i've seen and heard others ***** about them before. Not everyone wants to make love to KYB GR2s like you do....

They're easily the best riding strut for Impalas (except for KYB AGXs). Can't vouch for GPs since I haven't ridden in a GP with them.

i daily drive my car and i really dont think they are that bad. could it be worse? oh yeah. the only problem i have is that over large bumps my car bottoms out the struts because they are getting old. with new ones im sure i wouldnt have this problem.

After 100,000 miles... any replacement strut will definitely feel better as your old ones are probably slightly worn- bouncy and new ones will give you a stiffer non-bottoming out feel when you go over bumps.

i put a set on mine from having over a 100,000 on the stockers (stockers wouldnt even push back when you pushed them down). i like how the car feels with them. it corners much better, the ride is a rougher then stock no doubt there but ive gotten used to it. if you want a cheap performance strut then theses are what ya want. you want ride quality get the monroes. all in all i like them there not to harsh for me at all.

I have GR 2 and am lowered. The ride is OK. It is way better that lowered on OEM strut IMO

With the Gr2's the handling improves enough to notice going around sharp turns, I just really hate hitting pot-holes. When i was on the parkway there were these miniature speed-bump style bumps for a half mile or so, That was funny, car was pogo'in like crazy. Me and my friend couldn't stop laughing, we were literally bouncing up and down of the seats, people in cars around us were like wtf?

i have gr2s and i put them on at the same time i lowered with eibachs. it rode terrible, just like a lowered car should. pogo washers didnt do anything, so i took off the springs and installed the stock ones back and it rides fine now, so i think they are good.

    No you're a woman Bio

I had them on my GT for 3 years, of course I had them with my SSC Gen II's so they rode 10x harsher than maybe with stock springs. My AGX's with my SSC Gen II springs ride a lot better than my old setup did, but they too are still a little harsh.

The thing you have to remember about KYB struts in general is that they are a performance strut. They are not your Town Car style strut by any means

duh, who buys a performance strut and expects it to ride like a cadillac? all i know is that GR2s are cheap and they work well.
