Ok so I am out of ideas and not really in the mood to just start tossing money at the car. Bricks, thats to be debated.

I have a bad vibration and it feels as though its coming from the passenger front. I replaced a 6 month old rotor thinking maybe it had warped. No luck. Took the car to Midas and figured what the hell, for free they would give me a quote on what was doing it then I could just get the parts and do the work myself. They throw in on the rack, can't find any problems, wheel bearing, ti rods everything seem in order. They did find a hair line crack in the sway bar but said that wasn't the cause. So the guy is like, I dunno. Test drive time. After a qwuick spin he comes back is say get in, we go for another loop and he tells me I got bad rear rotors and pads. On a strait he lets go the wheel and hits the brakes, and it feels like the whole car is being jerked from the a$$. That time I felt something on my side and pointed it out, he still insisted it was the rear. I knew the rear were shot, replaced the front last summer and knew the back were coming due. So we go back and get the quote to the tune of 370 bucks. I leave and hit the parts store to the tune of 110 bucks.

Rears now have new rotors and ceramic pads. Problem seems to go away for about a day. the next day I am driving to work and hit the breaks on I-70 for my exit and the right front again feels like its going to shake the car apart. As I finish my drive to work cursing, I think well at least I didn't pay the 370 to fix the problem that still exists. The tires are new, I rotated the tired thinking maybe a bent rim, no luck. The alignment couldn't be better. I am offically out of ideas. The only other problem that I am having with the car is my ABS and TCS lights are on all the time. Cruise does not work(checked the rear break light for the short problem, evertthing is good). Fuses check out fine. Even if the ABS is disabled, could the wheel bearing still be the cause? There is no play in it. I am at a loss and tax money is running out to try to find this culprit. 98 GTP stock supension. Help!

Seems I'm having the same problem with my '98 GTP. The car vibrates when I hit the brakes at high speed but I can feel an irregular resistance as I roll to a stop. I suspect it's on of my rear rotors. I had my daughter sit in the back sit and she said the vibration was worse on the passenger side. I could start by swapping rotors and seeing if the problem moves.

Well it sounds like your rotors and pads, but it also could be a few other problems with the suspension. How many miles are on it? Did you check the axles, if a boot is ripped it may cause vibration issues after a while.

If anything we can find stock replacement parts for cheaper on here.

Have you tried the inner tie rod? My 2000 gt had that problem when hit the brakes the car shook like crazy. I jack up the front and tried to move the wheels side to side and had play on the drivers side and warped the rotors in the process. I had the inner replaced $27 bucks at advanced auto parts and did the rotors and pads at the same time and it fixed the problem. Might as well do the outer since it would already be apart. Instead of going to a shop and getting raped for a few hundred or more in needless parts and labor that would seem to be a good place to start. Good luck.
