I need to do my brakes soon and i am looking to up the performance a little bit while im at it but i dont wanna do the full upgrade to f body brakes. i found this kit from 3800 performance. comes out to 475 shipped. It has front and rear powerslot rotors, and i added the hawk ceramic pads all around. is this a good deal?

yea, are the powerslots any good? because the thing i like is that its a whole kit for front and rear with slotted rotors all around. and i love the hawk ceramic pads. i was just gonna get my brakes from pfyc for 379... but their shipping was 110!!! and it was 379 with regular rotors in the rear

I know their not bad. But i don't know how much better they are from the ones on ebay that come with pads and front and rear rotors for around 300 shipped.

Be carefull. The ones from r1 concepts do not have the dot minum specs that you can resurface them to...so most shops won't

yea, i dont think im gonna get the r1 concepts ones. and i would just rather not get brakes from ebay... just the way i am. what kind of pads do those ones come with? because i am dead set on hawk ceramics.. those are great pads

I think they have a cupple of different options...but normally they just come with their brand of ceramic pads.

do they have any that are slotted? because i definitely want it to be a performance oriented kit. but i dont want to upgrade to 12 inch rotors. trying to save a little money for headers

You could upgrade to the 12" Monte Carlo front rotors for just the cost of a caliper bracket
