wow those are absolutely gorgeous. I might have to get some soon.
i agree!
Ahhhhh!! More money I want to spend that I don't have!
Im supposed to be getting OUT of debt, not finding more things to spend money on.
idk i question zzps quality of some of there work. for me ill just keep stock untill they are proven ok. i would be concerned on there welds on the flat piece of metal where tire is connected, how is that suppose to handle the weight?
I agree, not something I would want to spend 500+. That flat piece of metal may get strength out of the shape of that curve, but still... You could get an aluminum engine cradle, add a traction bar to the stock control arms, gmpp sway bar and new tires for the cost of those...
There is no weight on that portion. The weight of the tire/vehicle is handled through the strut and knuckle, not the control arm. The control arm handles lateral forces (side to side and front to back). It moves with the knuckle and strut as they support the weight of the car, but it doesn't support any weight on it's own. In fact, it's weight is supported by "hanging" from the knuckle.
i feel that zzp under engineers some of there work and would have a hard time to trust there control arms, if one goes while on the highway then things would turn dangerous very quickly.
I wouldn't run tubular A-arms on any vehicle that is used for street duty, it's been proven over and over, that they don't hold up well in street use. all out race is another story though.
I would like to know what they are made from, and how they were welded before I would trust my life, and my car with them.
We all know that ZZP does extensive R&D on all their parts before they are released to the public.

To play devil's advocate, how many man hours and prototypes did they spend trying to bring these to the market?
its hard to say but im sure quite a bit. i was just factoring what the price of materials and time it takes to make a set. i know its not factoring in all the variables. what do you think they profit with everything being accounted for?
And to shoot you back down...
And who does not have to do that? I for example, Had spent over 300 dollars on gas driving all around (up to 5 hours away) and getting everything together for them. Plus the hours i worked on getting everything together.
Did I make my product cost over 3 times what is was worth? No.
You have to spend money to make money. And putting you're product up for sale for 500.00 when it does not cost a 1/3 of that to make is rediculas.
Take the picture for example. How many hours do you think it took UPR to make THAT?????? Think of all of the hours!!!! MUCH more complicated!!
Still cheap as hell. Still making a good profit. Still in buisness.
I come from the mustang group before i got this grand prix. And i think some of you need to realize how much these vendor's are ripping us off and charging us an arm and a leg Just becuase they are the only one who makes the item.
/Rant off.
very true but they always come on here and say well who else supports the gp community and other crap and trys to make us feel bad that we think there prices arnt fair, i got news for them with out us buying there products they wouldnt have there jobs. i think 300 to 350 would be a ok price to sell them at.
