Need to replace the orginal struts on my 04 Comp G.

Stick with OEM / AC Delco or what else would you recommend that is currntly available? Do they have a drop in strut for AC Delco or do I need to buy all the components separately and put them together?

Also considering the ZZP Performance Drop in Strut with Lowering Spring (link below).

I realize this will lower it a bit and will need to also buy the shorter dog bones.

I'm okay with lowering a little but not looking to get "slammed".

Anyone else used the ZZP Perforrmance Drop in Strut with Lowering Springs? If so, how did you like it. I've read good things abou the KYB GR2s.

What other drop in struts would you recommend for a Comp G? Not looking for coil overs or going really low.

We have rebuilt FE3's on our compg and also used quickstrut dropins on our regal. Drop in was used because we were trying to put them together during covid, and we couldn't find the parts to rebuild. I am not sure if they are shipping them again yet. We were trying all the gm part suppliers, gmpartsgiant, gmpartsdirect, wholesalegmparts, etc.. all would hold our money for a week or 2 sending us notice that the order was delayed, and then eventually would cancel.

Definitely prefer the fe3s that we pieced together over the drop ins. We will be changing them again in the Regal assuming we can find the parts.

Check out this thread, SaukRapids posted part numbers and tool info for the fe3s we built for the compg.

I don't have any experience with ZZPs.

Thanks. What drop ins did you use that you weren't happy with?
