05 Grand Prix. I have play in the driver's side wheel when I push in/out from both the 12/6 positions and 3/9 positions. I just replaced the wheel bearing/hub assembly less than 200 miles ago. The old bearing was definitely bad, I couldn't rotate it at all by hand when I got it off the car. It was the first wheel bearing I've ever replaced, so I'm relatively new to this. Is it possible the new wheel bearing is also bad or is it more likely there is something going on with the CV axle? When looking underneath the car and having someone push on the wheel, I see movement of the outer CV axle joint/boot while the steering knuckle, ball joint and tie rod all seem relatively stable. I can see slight movement between the bearing and what I think is the rubber seal between the bearing and bearing housing. Thanks in advance for any advice.
