More Information for ACDELCO 505548
Okay. I keep reading that the Bilsteins for the GXP are no longer made. Yet, I've been under my car. The struts on it have a sticker that says "Bilstein," and I know, from both the handling and their appearance, they're not 12 years old. And I keep seeing these struts advertised.
Is this the Bilstein, or just an ACDelco Professional part spray-painted yellow? Are the Bilsteins still made? If not, what's on my car?

Those are Bilsteins for sure, do a search for that part on Amazon and read the reviews to give yourself peace of mind.

Robot Check
I looked at all 11 pages. The word "Bilstein" doesn't appear once. (I also did a "Bilstein" search and came up empty.) What am I missing?

I just hit that check link from Amazon and the Bilstein was there.
They are out there and are Bilsteins, so you can relax. They might be somewhat costly

They came with the Bilstein sticker on the strut. The box said AC Delco made in Germany.
Real deal here folks.

How do you know they're Bilsteins? The word DOESN'T APPEAR.

I think you are a bit stuck on the fact that the word Bilstein is not in any of the descriptions. Order them and if they are not what you want send them back and update this post If you are not ordering no sense in continuing to question because the link I sent you includes customers installed pictures as well clearly showing the blue Bilstein sticker. Good luck with your purchase.

^^This.
I know for a fact that there are still new FE4 springs and all new delco components like mounts, springs seats, etc are still available if you so choose. I did my FE3 last year. So, I also understand that it can be cost prohibitive.
9/10 times anyone comes on fb asking about GXP Bilsteins, they cheap out and buy the 85 dollar quick struts. How do I know? Most of em never ever come back showing actual OEM replacement parts and how big of a job it is. I drove an 06 GT with quickstruts on it ..thing handled like a ship in a hurricane. After going through the expense and work, there's absolutely no way I could ever recommend drop-ins.
Order FE4 Bilsteins from the retailer of your choice. If they aren't what you want, send em back and throw some terribly ****ty quickstruts. You'll wish you didn't.
No one's here to carry your pride about the matter. Either buy them or don't.

I’d be curious about the FE3 stuff Sauk. I’m sure my Regal has FE1 stuff. I had brand new Bilsteins on my GXP, FE4 as you know. Drop springs, sway bars etc. It handled great but was a little stiff. I might be interested in FE3 stuff for the Regal. It’s too soft
2001 Regal GS, PLOG, 3" DP, 1.9's/L76 springs. 21* of timing on a 3.4"

Those are the Bilstein struts. They are sold through GM/AC Delco which is probably why they don't have the Bilstein name come up in the description or even on the box. I bought a set last year for my LS4 Monte Carlo. They were well worth the $ if are looking for a good suspension upgrade.

You can check your RPO's in the trunk. My GS came with FE3.
Here's a link to the whole FE3 thing. Note my end sentiment was that you really only need the AC Delco spring and actual strut cartidge. All the other stuff can be generic off RA or wherever, lol - Looking at AC Delco springs for old FE3 replacement - Need advice

I got my FE3 fronts 506-273 from Scoggin Dickey for 77 each. The rears 506623 are now 122, go figure.
The rears actually failed on me and I replaced them with those mystery Bilsteins FE4s from Amazon that said Bilstein on them when I got them.
I am on my second round of replacement fronts at 150K
Looks like Rock Auto has KYB AGX for your car...2003?

2007 GXP. Which is why I need Bilsteins, someday. The ones I have are definitely not originals, and they're OK.

Looking for a set of Bilstein (FE4) rear struts and they seem like they are no longer available same goes with the AC Delco FE3 rear struts. What a bummer. Though both are available for the front still.
Any other options for the rears for a OEM performance rear strut?
