Need some help, rebuilt the car last year, 02 GTP, new complete strut assemblies all around, brakes, etc. Now a year later rattling on the front end it seems, checked and found sway bar cracked where it bolts to end link and broke on driver's side at the bend. New dorman sway bar and end links, still rattles. So new brake hardware except for the caliper bolts which were in good shape, new rubber boots and clips, still rattles at slow speed over bumps. Everything else is tight, have had all 4 wheels off multiple times and I'm at a loss as to what the hell is causing this.

How many are there, just the 2 near the sway bar or more hidden away?

    Could be sub-frame bushings.

Would the sub frame bushings cause the metallic like rattle like loose calipers?

Well all 4 sub frame bushings look to be in decent shape, no tearing or rips in the rubber and everything is tight. Guess I will have to get in trunk and have someone drive around and see if I can further pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

Have you ever replaced the control arms and ball joints?

Yes, last year I rebuilt with new control arms, brakes, tie rod ends, ball joints and cv joints. Car was written off and sat for a couple years until I had the time and money to get it back on the road. The only thing I have not replaced are the caliper bolts and caliper bracket bolts.
