So I'm replacing my rack and pinion next week and figured it would be a good time to switch out the nasty subframe bushing and add cradle soacers and such. So far ive only been able to find the subframe bushings made by Dorman but I was wondering if anyone had found poly ones or if its even worth it.

I couldn’t find any but was thinking the same thing. They don’t make a ton of poly stuff for us since it’s a small market.

You could fill the fronts with that stuff you use to make your own sold motor mount. Not sure how to do it for the rears though, i haven’t replaced my yet, doing it with my rack too.

please elaborate on fill them. I've been wondering if there was anything to do about them. Think my clunk is them but they're fairly expensive so I've been managing

Right!? 38$ shipped per bushing and urs just crap rubber that's why I was hoping there would be some poly ones.

Well I would think that the subframe bushing is a pretty generic bushing so I'm wondering if maybe I can find some for a differenr vehicle that will work on the wbodys

Good thought! Most gm's I've seen in the junkyard from the same vintage use these bushings... I'll have to see if I can find anything!

No dice, but looks like they were used on chevy impala's up through 2011, so I might see if I can't score some out of the junkyard off some low mileage impalas. No way I'm wasting that kind of money on a bushing!
