Anyone have experience with the BC Racing coilovers that ZZP supposedly released about a year ago?
I need new struts, might as well get the whole package. Been trying to research but can't find a straight answer. The BC's sound like to best option, but I'd like to hear from someone who knows more about suspension than I do. Would I be better off with KYB? I'm not planning on slamming, but I like to rip the corners.

They sell a great product and know a person or two who have used them before with no problems.

It may even be worthwhile to call BC racing themselves to see what they charge instead of going through ZZP.

I've personally driven BC struts, and in my opinion, they are great for handling and cornering, but are quite harsh for a daily driver (wouldn't recommend for a daily driver).

If you're looking to drop that much cash, I'd look into picking up a set of used bilstein's off a gxp and talk to fatcatmotorsports.com and tell them Stefan sent you. They'll cut you a deal. They are currently the only ones who have the equipment to re-valve, rebuild, and dyno our struts (yes I said dyno for struts) to match them for optimum handling. I've had the privilege to drive some of his improved struts, and they are far better than any strut on the market bar none.

I'm working with him to rebuild these myself and do it cheaper than fcm since they specialize more in one time projects and less on production and keeping costs down. Check out my thread for updates: http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...ld-improvement

If you're looking for just something cost effective and pretty average on performance, I'd go with KYBs, they're not bad for a daily driver and definitely better than stock.

Harsh ride is in the eye of the beholder. I ran(and will run) coilovers on my Stealth. I dded the car and loved the ride. Other people thought it was the worst thing in the world.

Agreed. At the end of the day, It's about what YOU like. So take our opinions with a grain of salt. As far as traction and actual handling numbers go, those BC coilovers are great stuff. The improved bilstein's should be one step up, but it's all about what you are shooting for and what your budget is.

Thanks for the answers, I think I'll go that route. The reason I was worried was because I think I had got a little confused by the coil slip overs (or whatever they're called) that people were complaining about in older threads. I gotta save up the grand for these over the next couple months so I don't think I'll be looking into anything more expensive. Sounds like I found a winner, thanks guys!

Just don't buy them from zzp. BC racing sells them right off their site with free shipping. Zzp is a few bucks more and you have to pay the high zzp shipping rates

I just got mine a little over a week ago and honestly it was the best I have done so far to this car. I definitely believe that you won't regret investing in these. I also bought the top rear mounts with them.
