I replaced my rear struts and I was wondering how to re-install the rubber cover (the round rubber domes that go over the top, that are inside the trunk).

I am not really sure what they are for, and I couldn't put them under the edge before installing the strut due to the far back bolt that is hard to reach?

What purpose do these serve and do I just set them on, or is there away to get the tabs under to hold them in?

They stopped dust from getting in the trunk and to stop anything from falling in there.

You should be able to jam/smash them back into the holes.
