I have a random ABS light coming on my 2000 GTP. Hooked up the Red Brick MT2500 Snap-on scanner as soon as my Random ABS light comes on and i hook up the scanner, there are no ABS codes and all 4 wheel speed sensors are reporting. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's going to be one of those thing where you will have to have the scanner with you when it blurts out what wheel it is. Likely one wheel all of a sudden just drops out and comes right back and that normally doesn't pop up a code. I'd have all 4 wheels on the scanner and have someone in the passenger seat watch while I drive it and see which wheel drops out.

Seen this several times on chevy trucks and cars.

When the problem is sudden like this, from your experience has the culprit usually been the wheel bearing or wiring?

    Normally the bearing itself.

Not many have a bolt on wire harness, they run inside the back of the bearing. A lot of the chevy trucks you can unbolt the harness from the bearing and swap it if you had too.

I'd be checking the wire harness that connects from the bearing to the main loom too. They are known to corrode (get dry wire) and cause random ABS lights. My 00 GT did this for a while and I just replaced the harness section. Went through the same thing. Checked all 4 hubs with my multimeter and they all showed signal.

Wow, that is cheap! Thanks! Hoping it is the wiring harness as my wheel bearings are only about two years old and there is no play.
