How good are KYB AGX’s, I mean really??
Hello. Got a newly acquired 2000 GT with about 140K on theodometer and I’m certain we are still on the OEM factory struts. Since thepurchase, I’ve put in some ebay DNA springs, Impala STB, GMPP sways front andback, pogo Mod and I’m pleasantly surprised with the ride and how far it’s come.Riding on low(er) profile Goodyears the car feels so much better. Don’t get mewrong, I definitely need new struts! I love the bounce I get on the freewaygoing over dips (FML).

How good are KYB AGX’s? I really want to firm up the ride. I’mlooking for reviews on here and while the search and google are my friends –anyone running AGX’s and DNA springs?

I went from the kyb gr2 to the agx, and the difference is substantial. There really is no comparison

Really, they are that good? Cool. Cool...

Around town the DNA's are good & tight (bumpy). lol. BUT when you are on the freeway, at freeway speeds and hit a transition over pass the suspension is in full stride I guess you could say - you definitely feel a little pogo, but in long strides if that makes sense. Hoping some AGX's will tighten that up.

I replaced OEM with the KYB GR2 ready strut and it rode like a marshmallow. After about 6 months, I changed to Vogtland springs and it helped a lot, but the struts are still too soft.

Looking for alternatives, and the AGX seem to be the only performance struts still made for the W body.

I had vogtlands on my front end, and had good results. ended up going back to stock, and miss the performance feel of the lower springs. I'm not sure if the struts will help you or not.

The GR2's wear pretty fast too, especially up front imo... I replaced everything up front, control arms, upgraded sways, energy suspension bushings, heavy sway in rear, new upgraded lateral arms, strut tower braces front and rear, GR2 quick struts all around.

Made a huge difference, But it's still lacking wanting more. Have the Adco sway for rear, probably will go BMR laterals in rear and new bushings all around with AGX struts up front. That'll be about as much as it can't e tightened without lowering springs. Point is, just struts will only accomplish so much and being the only change, will fade quickly. Go big, or go home! Lol. ; )

I've got a set of AGX for sale

I went from AGX to gen2 on my Grand Prix and the AGX are a lot stiffer. I liked them but my back no longer does.

The ones for sale came on my Impala.

You have a PM sir! Are they the same - Impala to Grand Prix??

Good feed back gang. Really appreciate it. Love this car and seeing all the incremental changes as I make them. Sounds like the missing piece will be swapping out the worn out struts. Going from worn to AGX sounds good to me!

No one else running DNA's? I know I cheaped out on the springs, but I also have a Trans AM I'm working on too. Too many cars and not enough money. lol.

I did not like the KYB GR2. They wore out quickly. I had them on for less than 25,000 miles and when i switched them out all 4 had absolutely no rebound. I replaced them with the FE3 OE struts and springs and much better.

I'm planning on going AGX with either vogtlands or SSCs, but the shipping is what's preventing me from buying them now. Lol
