I have a 2005 GXP and there is a decent clunk in the front end when I let off the pedal after a good take off. there is also a quiet clunk when driving down the road going over moderate bumps, i'm not sure if its releated. I'm thinking it could be the struts, but I was looking to get opinions before I bought anything for it.

The strut mount itself is a more likely cause to a clunk, they also do not make the struts anymore for GXP's only aftermarkets.

Check the sway links too, very common failure on those years.

Shake down the whole front end too, check for tie rod play, ball joints, control arm bushings with the round front one being the most common to rip and pull through.

I couldn't tell you the part numbers because I've never looked into it.

If you know the struts themselves are not leaking and not causing a harsh ride, replacing just the top mount is the best way to go. The bilstien struts on the GXP's are very high quality and normal last longer than others.
