Okay guys, I'm sure this was outlined in the brake sticky but I couldn't quite piece together the info I wanted. I have a 2001 GP GTP, I have stock rear brakes and upgraded front brakes.

The fronts are broken down as follows:
    Stock '01 GTP caliper
    2001 Monte Carlo SS Braket
2001 Monte Carlo SS Rotor (303mm)
    Stock '01 GTP pads

What I want to know is:
With my current brake setup, can I put the dual piston '06+ Impala calipers on without changing anything else?
And if not to the above question, will using '06+ Impala calipers with ,06+ Impala brackets, and '01 Monte SS rotors work? Will that system be compatible?

Of course, if I use the Impala calipers, I will be buying Impala pads as well.
    Thanks for the help!

So they aren't the same Rotor? That's why I was confused on the brake thread, everyone just refers to a 12" Rotor but its different across cars. What about the F body dual piston caliper and matching bracket, will they work with my current rotors?

Looking at my fbody rotor and Impala rotor , the hats alone are different. The impala rotor hat looks to taper off and the fbody one doesn't.

The 12" brake upgrade just allows clearance for the 12" rotor.

To run any dual caliper you need the corresponding bracket.

Okay so I have found that the rotors on the 2001 Monte SS is the same rotors on the 2001 F body. So the calipers and brakets will fit over them perfect!

Your saying because your rotor now is the same one used for the FBody - justifying that the impala caliper will fit, is completely wrong. As I said the impala upgrade needs its own hardware ex: caliper , bracket , rotor and pads

I want to do it right for sure, what I meant to say is the F body calipers and brakets will fit with the Monte Rotor as long as I get the bolt kit from ZZP so the spacing is correct. Correct? Sorry for the misunderstanding

I'm confused. Do you want impala dual piston calipers or f body dual piston calipers ?

why the hell are you buying brake parts from zzp? you want to get robbed?

pick what brakes you want, then get them. you dont go mixing this and that crap up. you want proper brakes or not?

theres a reason calipers brackets and rotors go as a set.

so stop asking if you can use X rotor with Y caliper and z bracket, your wasting all our time.

and once again, F zzp. all that crap can be found so much cheaper.

The reason I am putting it that way is because there are so many upgrades that can be pieced together from other factory GM cars. I want dual piston F body brakes, but I already have the correct rotors I believe via 12" upgrade from Monte SS. You're talking about not being ripped off, I want to make sure my info is correct so that I'm not spending more money on rotors that I already have on the car!

iirc this is all been hashed over, where they may fit and look ok, they are not the same rotors.

mixing brakes parts is not recommended. its why they make them as a set, if the part# dont cross over, its not a perfect fit.

buy new rotors, they are like 40 a side for centric blanks. most say they work best.

    Fbody

    4 12mm fbody caliper bracket bolts (12x1.75x40mm)

you can buy brand new calipers with bracket from advance auto using discount codes for $30 a side. Give them your old calipers as a core
