So my GTP has 5.25" door speakers. I want to put alpine speakers in but they dont make 5.25" component speakers.
Has anyone installed 6.5" speakers in their doors? if so, is it a pain, or fairly simple?

Somewhere there is a guide that shows you how to do this, I have not seen it in a very long time and I cannot remember where it is on here.

Basically you just trim the bezel to fit the speaker.

I just used the original mount but widened it with a dremel tool. They fit easy but I didn't buy anything to nice. I have these http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130TSA1...TS-A1605C.html

The crossovers are going to be mounted in the trunk.
