I recently bought a new key fob for my 1999 Grand Prix GTP. The old remote works about half the time so I got a new one, but I can't get it programmed. I've searched it and tried all kinds of ways, but none of them seem to work, and not looking to spend the money by taking it to a dealer. Any suggestions on how to program it?

I tried that link, and I couldn't get it to work after several attempts. Maybe it's just my car, because I've tried nearly everything. Haha, thanks for the help anyways.

No, I never got the problem with my key fob figured out. Took it by the local dealership and they were talking around $75 to do it. Too much for me.

The instructions are posted in like the second post of this thread also the instructions are in your owners manual.

OP did you buy the correct key? Just because the eBay add says it works with your car does not mean it is the right fob, I could never figure out why my key fob had the buttons switched around until I was doing some searching and found out that I had the wrong key fob. Your car has 2 options for the keyfob either the 3 button part number 10246216 or the 4 button part number 10246216.
