DD is run by Paul J. Mccain, he does stand behind his stuff and is a well known guy around the retrofit/HID/LED world, he probably does a better quality control on the ballasts and bulbs hence the price. I would trust his stuff, but then again I know where this stuff is manufactured....CHINA

the D1S stuff i have from diode dynamics i'd actually pretty nice in comparison to every other HID setup i've come in contact with.

but then again, it's D1S and not some dumb plug and play crap that you guys use.

Still the same cheap chinese made crap...just the other company wants a bigger cut.

Been doing HID and projector retrofits for a while now, you can usually tell a good ballast vs a bad ballast just by holding it in your hand (seriously, it comes down to weight). Either way, all this aftermarket HID crap is made in china for pennies.

you should also try a google search and look over at HIDPlanet for an answer as to what is quality brand, but someone already told you their VVME has been working fine

I also have used a few kits from VVME and I love them. I have never had a quality issue with them at all.
