I have a 2004 GP and the other day I noticed my low beams were not on. It was light when I set off. When I got home I turned the lighs off and display read "headlamps recommended" i turned it to manual again and auto, it's like the car thinks they're on until i turn them off. I did some research and found that it was most likely the relay for The low beams. so I bought a new relay, switched it, tested it and .. Hey presto..the lights were back on.. All good right? Nup, I left work tonight and noticed no lights .. I took the relay out, blew it, checked for debris etc and put it back .. No lights still .. So .. What do you think? ? Any suggestions?

    Thanks all ..

That's the part I changed yesterday. It seemed to be the fix but today it's back to no lights.

Was it a 4 pin relay or a 5 pin relay?

The HDM module is a 5 pin.

the one I took out was a 4 pin. I just took that to the store and they gave me the same thing. Although it does say made in China, could it be crappy? The 4 pin's been in all the 5 years I've had the car with no issues until recently.

Ok so I think I have fixed my low beam issues. I tried another relay.. no good. I decided to pull the high beam relay and put it where the low beam relay was .. its exactly the same relay.. still no low beam .. for s**ts and giggles I tried my original relay for the high beams .. it worked !! So I changed both low beam bulbs .. and now .. I have light !!!Woohoo .... i'm not convinced something else isn't going on though as the relay switch worked the first time .. maybe I had a loose wire somewhere .. I dunno but i'll keep an eye on it and post back if I find another issue . .fingers crossed i'm scratching this off as solved .. new bulbs . .what an idiot I feel !!
