Hey guys. Just put a kenwood excelon in my girls car. This is more a car specific question than a tech question. I personally own a grand am, and do installs once to three times a month around town here, but this is the first Grand Prix I've done. I notice when opening the drivers side door the speaker cuts off, but if I push the door latch to simulate the door shutting it turns back on. Normal? She also stated for two or so days starting the car some of her speakers wouldn't turn on for a bit. I bought the metra gmos-01 or whatever it is. Any ideas?

Make sure the pins on the harness are not loose, I had a HU install on an accord where the metra harness had loose pins and it would loose power. Double check all the wires are going to the correct ones, it didn't have the bose system did it? Also could just be crap luck the speakers are dying.

No. That's not normal. My 2005's speakers work fine with the doors open. My guess is that it's an interface problem. The door lock switches are BCM sensors. The radio also runs through The BCM. That's the only commonality I can think of.

Very weird. I'll have to pull it all out and check. I soldered everything and it was all fine until the other day.
