Hey everybody im new to the site. I got an 04 gtp comp g and when i got it. I only got one key. Ive been to walmart and westlake and both places books said that it is a chipped key. But their machines didnt read a chip in it. I was wandering if there is a cetain sequence or if i have to buy one from online or dealer. Thanks in advance

I bought two keys off of eBay for my sons '04 when I bought it. Had them cut at a locksmith and did the programming myself. Programming takes about ten seconds. Put a working key in the ignition and start the car. After the dash lights go out turn off the engine and remove the key. Within ten seconds place a new key in the ignition and turn it to the run position. Once the dash lights go out the key is programmed and ready to use.

So what was the purpose of even posting the question? Dadillac just told you exactly how to get a key and program it and then you say your gonna go try another place?..........
