If this fixes your problem and it stays fixed, chalk it up to gremlins or evil spirits. If this fixes your problem but it doesn't stay fixed, I believe you can narrow down the problem to the BCM. I've been installing a head unit and have had mine unplugged....the memory isn't in the DIC. It's gotta be in the BCM. I'll try to look up the information from Service Information at work when I get there and see if there's any other troubleshooting tips I can get for you.
Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
that sounds excatlly like the settings were changed on the dic i have an 04 gt three button and know thats an option to do is only the driver side unlocks might have to go in and just change it
Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
I definitely wouldn't start throwing money at your problem till you/someone you know checks the wires coming from the bcm. That is if the above suggestions fail. Btw learning car electrical/electronics is never a bad idea (I taught my self by installing a viper aftermarket remote start / alarm).

Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
Well I tried resetting everything on the DIC and it still has the same issue. I am going to get my battery checked out at lunch and then if that does not fix it, I will start the troubleshooting of the BCM.
Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
Very good skill to have seeing as most cars get electrical gremlins sometimes.

Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
Where is a good source to find wiring info on the Grand Prix... I printed out a spreadsheet from bulldogsecurity.com that was mentioned in an earlier post.
Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
Bulldog security is the best place to get information about the wiring the one you print it out for your car should tell you the color and the location of the wires. And I'm assuming you've never done this before so you're going to need to go to NAPA Auto Parts or you know any other auto parts store and ask them for an automotive test light it looks like a screwdriver type of thing with a wire connected to it and a needle tip on the other end and they run about 10 bucks at most.

Had the battery checked out and it is good. However, the guy who ran the test said my voltage regulator on my alternator could be going bad. I am going to have that checked out, but not sure if that would have something to do with the door lock issue. On another note, my washer fluid sensor might be bad because I'm getting a low washer fluid warning but it's completely full!
Re: 05 Grand Prix Door Lock Issue
I don't know about ur electrical issue but had the same low washer fluid issue. I pulled out the sensor to inspect it and it looked fine but when I drained the reservoir there was small dirt particles so I just put the sensor back in, refilled and so far no low washer fluid warning.
BTW I gave a 04 GTP COMP G
Very easy to do, on my car it's located right behind the passenger fog light.
