So, I got my amp hooked up to my subs, powered, grounded, and I don't know where to splice in my remote wire. I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT, and the remote wire is run down the passenger side. Help!

that all depends on the amp your using, does it need a signal from the radio? or just 12 volt source?

I always used toggle switches for my amps. I've since grown up and don't need that nonsense anymore.

The first system I had I had no idea how to hook it up and the battery died continuously because I hooked the 12v and remote together lol

i added a add a fuse to the wiper fuse in the fuse box, amp on when the cars on, off when the cars off.

most amps have a little light or 2, they mean stuff lol that way you can tell if its still got power after you turn off the car.

adding a sub to stock seems dumb.. so much better aftermarket options.

adding just a sub to a stock radio does more then you think. makes it just loud enough for me, im not a kid anymore so i dont need to loose any more hearing or break the sun roof.........

It's the factory HU, and the input is going to the amp from a Scosche Line Out Converter. The amp is a Boss Chaos Exxtreme CX250 400W 2-channel.

if the directions say it needs a 12 volt source hook it up to the fuse box to a ignition on only fuse, wipers works well. get a add a fuse deal so the wipers still work if the fuse blows for the amp.
