Easiest fix for LED signals

I put LED signals in my 2003 GTP, and of course it caused the flasher to flash extra fast. Now, I was about to install load resistors to solve the problem, until...... I discovered that if you purchase an EP28 Tridon Electronic flasher, it solves all your problems sooooooo much easier.

Yep kilroy thats how I fixed mine there is a thread here somewhere on that funny when I went to advance to buy it I had forgotten to bring the part number I asked them if they could tell me which one it was and they told me the only was to fix that is with a custom made falsher and they gave me the address for triton in tn told me its not far from whre I live and they would custom make it. I laughed and just told them give me both models you have I'll return the one that does not work for me. They would not do that because they KNEW I was wrong. I went down the block O'rielys and just bought both put it in in the parking lot and returned the other. I really hate the suppposed mechanics who only know how to read a book.

Hey Smart Ass, I never searched nothing. I discovered it a different way and thought I'd post a tip incase someone could get use from it. So sorry I offended you. next time I know a tip, I'll just PM everyone else on the board so I don't bother you.

I bought an ep28 flasher and it fixes the hyper flashing but causes the arrows on the dashboard to light up dimly like the blinker is burnt out. If I put the load resistor on then it disappears. Kind of defeats the purpose of the flasher.

It's not the flasher, it's the LED bulbs. I had the same issue, so I put diode's on my front corners, and the dash signals are only lit up ever so barely, most times hard to even tell (this may be from the Spyder tails).

I have LED tail lights but they didn't have an issue with the original flasher. Only my front LEDs. I have the 2 marker lights on the front on both sides as LEDs. A total of 4.

The tails will have built in load resistors, so ya, no issue.

You have the same set up as me. When I first swapped in the front corner LED's and noticed the dash signals on, I immediately put the old bulbs back in, and the dash signals were out. I can only presume that the LED's are backfeeding the circuit.

Well the flasher was the issue for the hyper flashing. Because it detects the load of the light bulb. The LEDs have much lower resistance which is what causes the hyper flashing because it thinks a bulb is burnt out. This electronic flasher is supposed to fix that issue without a load resistor, which it does except for the dashboard. Other guys who have got these don't say anything about the dash issue. Any ideas?

Correct.

.....except for the dashboard. Other guys who have got these don't say anything about the dash issue. Any ideas?

Install diode's or put the old bulbs back in. I would guess that if you put the old flasher back in, the dash signals would still be lit.

I'm starting year 3 with the diode's and life is fine.

Maybe somebody else will pipe in.

I used diode's that I had laying around. I will get the specs when I get home.

As for location, I put them right at the signal socket.....

I didn't take pics, but I also put them on the 194 corners.

Not that I'm doing this, but there's a right way and a wrong way to install a diode, which is an electrical one way check valve. He's gonna need to know whether the flow is towards the lamp or away. Alternatively, was the band on the diode towards the bulb or away. The band indicates the no flow direction.

I'm guessing the band is on the voltage side.
