Bought a 2000 Grand Prix at the auction last week....Got a good deal on it but it needed some work...Anyways, radio wasn't working in the car. No big deal, I have an extra in the garage. Installed that, still won't turn on. Took the radio out of my car that I listen to every single day and still nothing. The radio is getting power, and the fuses are good...I swapped them out with new ones even though they tested fine just to see if anything would change....The buttons on the head unit will light up when I turn the headlights on, but nothing through the display and it doesn't play any sound....Kind of confused here if i should go get an aftermarket unit and try my luck with that?
Other problems I should mention:
Blower motor also doesn't blow on any speed (has the digital dual climate control)
SRS Light also on: --Ignition was jammed when I got the car and I figured it would be easier to just get a new column from the junkyard with a key and put that it....Bill helped do that since I've never done one before. I dont know if these 3 things are related at all? I should add that even though the radio buttons on the head unit light up, those on the steering wheel do NOT. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction
