Just got my GXP on friday. My key fob is acting up. The panic and trunk realease work perfect. But the lock and unlock act up a lot. I have to press down really hard and hold for a few seconds and itll work. But sometimes I have to press and hold a few times until it reacts. So i know the battery its not the problem. Could a new shell solve my problem? I found some on ebay that come with the shell and the buttons.

I had that same problem when I got my GXP. Remote start didn't work either. I made the dealership replace the key fob. =]

open it up, and the reason those dont work is cause the rubber piece that touches the actual motherboard looking thing in the rob are worn out... i took a q-tip and put alcohol rub on it.. cleaned the side with the buttons and then put little tiny pieces of foil so the connection would be better.. and bam, have had no problems in 3 months

Thanks it worked like a charm. At first it was too sensitive. But I cut little squares the size of the little black dot and glued it on. Now its perfect.

I too was looking for the answer to this about a month ago... found a pretty good solution that I will be making a how-to on sometime soon. I glued tin foil to mine at first and it worked for a while then I dropped the key and the glue broke loose... dunno if im just bad at glueing or what but I found some tin foil tape that works like a charm! its just like duct tape only its tin foil
