    It's not stupidity.. I didn't give you that method right off. You think I knew that right off, nope, when I ws fighting one, the damn thing popped out. I wiped the sweat off my brow and though...."this got a lot easier!"

    I have mine routed through the passenger fender. No drilling required. Just pulled it through with a hanger.

    I've seen a lot of sketchy wire runs and I've seen some others. It really depends on how you get there. If you ensure there is no way for the wire to be pinched, rubbed, marred or generally hurt it should be good.

    If you close it in a door jamb or have it able to rub etc, you are asking for trouble.
