Ok so heres my problem: I just almost finished installing a new sub and amp into the trunk of my grand prix, but I don't know where to connect the remote turn on for the amp. I have a factory hu and this is the wiring diagram for it: 1997-1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with 8 Speakers Wiring Information , the only problem is there is no pink remote wire in my car. So my question is: What do I connect the remote turn on wire to?

Yup, what Bluemajic said. Just don't attach it to the amp power wire or you will get speaker hop which is annoying and the amp will stay on constantly.

If your radio has the spot for the connector, but the wiring doesn't have the connector, you should be able to go grab one and add it.

so would the #3 wire, the power antenna work for this? Or should I use the #2 accessory 12 volt? or will I have to use the ignition wire?

Be careful using the power antenna. You might want to check that wire. Some head units bring the antenna down when you move off radio.

i hooked my remote wire up to the fuse box, used a add a fuse, hooked it up to a fuse that is off when the car is off. works fine for my amp.

funny you say that, i used the wipers too.

some amps need a odd signal sent, and i did see some kind of converter to fake the amp out so it thinks the remote turn on is from a stereo. most i guess just need 12 volts to wake it up.
